The Arc of Tri-Cities

The Arc provides several programs that are unique in their focus on bringing children and teens who have special needs together with their peers in both school and recreational activities. The Arc of Tri-Cities has grown into an agency that provides 15 programs serving 1,343 children and adults who have developmental disabilities.

Goodale & Barbieri

Goodale and Barbieri (G&B) was hired as the consultant developer to oversee the Kennewick Perry Suites Project. Sheryldene Rogers, the Residential Development Specialist for G&B has worked with SEC and various affordable housing organizations across the Northwest to successfully develop low-income housing projects. A development fee will come from the funded project to pay G&B for their services.

Kennewick Housing Authority

KHA’s mission is to develop and maintain safe, affordable, quality housing that promotes healthy neighborhoods and inspires communities. Create partnership opportunities that support and encourage program participants to become self-sufficient. Manage all assets with fiscal responsibility & integrity.

Kennewick Perry Suites (KPS)

The Kennewick Perry Suites (KPS) housing project consists of 14 subsidized adult units for people with intellectual and other disabilities. KPS is located at the corner of Kennewick Avenue and Perry Street in Kennewick. This site is 1.6 acres and is perfectly met all HUD 11 requirements. 

Shalom Ecumenical Center / SEC Affordable Housing

SEC Affordable Housing (SEC): Currently has the only operational HUD 811 supported housing in the Tri-Cities. At Tri-Cities Terrace South, on the corner of Leslie and Gage in Richland, the organization rovides independent living in rent-subsidized housing. This housing is available for very low-income dults when Developmental Disabilites. In August 2010 Edison Terrace South began operations. Combined, the two facilities will house 28 people.

 

Modern Living Services has been working with SEC Affordable Housing’s Board, and Director Rich Barchett since November 2009 to look at ways to increase affordable housing in our community. Our organizations entered into a sponsorship agreement and mentoring partnership. Together, we successfully broke ground on the Kennewick Perry Suites, on August 23, 2013- our first HUD 811 project.

Tri-Cities Residential Services

Tri-Cities Residential Services is a Person Centered organization that teaches essential life skills and provides support to individuals with disabilities. TCRS maximizes their ability to function independently and effectively by promoting an environment that enhances the individual’s self-esteem, personal growth and self-sufficiency.
